Real Office 2.1.14.0

Real Office is a multi‑component office suite for creating, viewing and editing documents, spreadsheets, presentations, graphics and formulas. It emphasizes broad file compatibility with Microsoft Office, OpenDocument and a wide range of legacy and platform-specific formats, positioning itself as a lower‑cost alternative to Microsoft Office.

The core editing and viewing features are free to use; a paid Premium tier is optional. When a Premium prompt appears it can be dismissed to continue using the application’s free functionality.

Format compatibility is one of the suite’s primary strengths. Support spans common and legacy formats across major document types:

• Documents: OpenDocument (.odt), Microsoft Word (.doc, .docx), RTF, plain text and other legacy formats.
• Spreadsheets: OpenDocument Calc (.ods), Microsoft Excel (.xls, .xlsx, .xlsb), CSV and several legacy spreadsheet formats.
• Presentations: OpenDocument Impress (.odp), Microsoft PowerPoint (.ppt, .pptx) and related template types.
• Graphics and drawings: Common bitmap and vector formats (PNG, JPEG, SVG, TIFF, EPS), Adobe PSD, AutoCAD DXF, Corel and Visio interchange formats.
• Formulas and math: OpenDocument formula, MathML and StarMath, with automatic conversion of embedded equation objects when configured.
• PDF: Import and export of Portable Document Format files.

Editing is organized into discrete modules (Writer, Calc/Excel Editor, Impress/PowerPoint Editor, Draw and Math), which preserves a conventional productivity workflow. The suite can both import and export many Microsoft and OpenDocument formats, and provides export options for PDF and common image types; Impress also supports export to Flash (.swf).

Usability notes include HTML handling tailored for web pages and an option to convert embedded Word equation objects into the suite’s Math format. The app presents a rating prompt in the store, but rating is not required; the prompt can be skipped and suppressed with a “don’t show again” option.
